Eastern Marching Vikings Band & Color Guard                      Eastern Vikings Indoor Programs

Fall is Marching Band Season!  Previous experience is not required.  Whether you have several years of music experience or have never played an instrument - there is a place for you with Eastern Marching Vikings. Most Eastern Marching Vikings Color Guard squad members do not have gymnastics or dance training, and have likely never twirled a rifle or sabre before!

Johann Arnold (Pit, Class of 2023) feels great pride in his Eastern marching experience. “Band always gives me something special to look forward to during the week.”

Just got our Eastern Varsity Jackets!!!!

The Marching Vikings programs are classified as a varsity co-ed athletic activity at Eastern Regional High School.  All requirements and privileges associated with the Eastern HS Athletics Program will also apply to the Eastern Marching Vikings (including Eastern Varsity Jackets, Varsity Letters, Awards, etc.)

Student leadership within the Eastern Vikings Marching Band is a privilege bestowed upon those students whose actions and behavior have demonstrated a high standard of discipline and maturity as individuals, and a dedication to the success of the band. These students have made a commitment to make the band the best it can possibly be. Student leaders are expected to assist the Band Directors, as requested, and to lead by example throughout the year.

From December to May, the Eastern Marching Vikings move Indoors!  We currently offer two separate indoor teams - Indoor Color Guard, and, Indoor Drumline.  There are separate practice/rehearsal sessions for each group.  Both ensembles attend the same competition, but participate in their own sections.

You do not need to participate in the outdoor marching band to be part of the indoor groups - if that suits your schedule and interests better.

Kayla Yap (Pit, class of 2019) explaining the fun of the Indoor Drumline. “I think it’s the positive attitude that everyone has… because everyone is striving for the same goal, there is a bigger motivation to support each other and do your best."

The Eastern Indoor programs participate in the ACC championships in May.  This is a multi-day event in Wildwood, NJ. Students, staff and chaperones stay in Wildwood during this event.
