EASTERN MARCHING VIKINGS

The Eastern Marching Vikings Programs - are open to ALL students in grades 9 through 12 at Eastern Regional High School.  No experience needed & no auditions required.

Just bring YOU - and your willingness...

to learn something new,

to have fun,

to work hard,

to make friends,

and to be a special part of this amazing program!

🎵Wondering if you really can join Marching Vikings without any previous experience?  Here are some interesting facts about our teams:

COLOR GUARD: The Color Guard team has both upper-class and freshman members.  Our current Color Guard has 50% freshman on the team; and several members joined as Sophomores or Juniors.  NONE of the current members had ever done any Color Guard work before joining the Eastern Marching Vikings team.  So, when you check out the marching band or Indoor Color Guard pages - remember, all of the dance and equipment skills were learned by students who had never done anything like this before!

MARCHING BAND & INDOOR DRUMLINE:  The marching band and indoor drumline teams have both upper-class and freshman members - and their experience as musicians varies greatly:   some students have many years of music experience, some students just participated in their middle school or elementary school music programs, some students have no formal music experience.   So, visit the marching band page or the Indoor Drumline page to learn more -- many of the students participating in these teams are also trying a new instrument - so you always have the opportunity to learn and grow.

REMEMBER: the amount of previous experience that you have with color guard or with playing a musical instrument -- is not as important as your commitment, dedication, willingness to work hard, try something new, and have fun being a Marching Viking!

"I know everyone says this, but it truly does go by quickly, so make the band room, your classmates, and your section mates your go-to for comfort. The best memories I have from high school were in the band room. There’s no other place that does what we do, and it’s so, so, so special, so make this band your home while you can." Eastern Band Alum
